Strategic Analysis

Strategic planning

What is Strategic Analysis?

Strategic analysis refers to the process of conducting research on a company and its operating environment to formulate a path to success.

What is done during Strategic Analysis?

  • Identifying and evaluating data relevant to the company's strategy,
  • Defining the internal and external environments to be analyzed,
  • Using several analytic methods such as Porter’s five forces analysis, SWOT Analysis, and value chain analysis.

How can Strategic Analysis benefit your business?

The Strategic Analysis forms the departure point to:

  • Align the path with the destination– the steps or means required to reach the end state.
  • Define the measurements (Key Performance Indicators)  required to determine the effectiveness of the business processes
  • Define the throughput efficiency measurements required to track the performance against the desired outcomes.

This will indicate the key areas to address and will set the framework for the detailed analysis required.

It will also show what issues should be highlighted as priorities, indicate the quick wins that can be implemented and surface the trouble areas / burning issues to be targeted.

It provides a roadmap that guides the company towards the future of the business it desires.
